Entity Relationship Diagram(ER Diagram) is used to represent the requirement analysis at the conceptual design stage .The database is designed from the ER Diagram or we can say that the ER diagram is converted to the database.

Great diagram! I used a website called Lucidchart to create my own er diagram and it was really easy to understand. If you use diagrams often you should check it out!
